Skirmish at Philomont, VA.

Engagement at Stephenson’s Depot, VA, as Union cavalry under Brig. Gen. William W. Averell, USA, capture over 250 Confederates, as Lieut. Jubal Early, CSA, withdraws up the Shenandoah Valley towards Strasburg, VA.
