NT: August 26, 1882 National Tribune: Warren and Five Forks

General G. K. Warren impoverished his family to pay for plans of the battle of Five Forks, the collection of testimony, and the general expenses of the recent court of inquiry.  At Newport, R. I., a committee to raise funds for the General’s family has been formed, and it is expected that a large sum will be obtained for the object intended.1
