  • Note: This unit, or at least part of it, appears to have been stationed briefly “before Richmond”, probably with the Army of the James at Deep Bottom.  The unit arrived at Bermuda Hundred on July 20, and appears to have been sent to Deep Bottom  on an undetermined day, staying there until July 27, 1864, suffering significant casualties, and then moved to the Shenandoah Valley in early August 1864.12,13,14,15
