I emailed you about 18 months ago saying I was working on a Great Battles of the American Civil War game covering Petersburg. You told me you were happy to share your research (with credits to you of course). I haven’t really worked on it since then but I am getting back into it.
I just had a quick question regarding the Nafziger OoBs. Some of them list numbers in parenthesis (for example, 864fbg: Union Army of the Potomac 30 June 1864, HQ – Command of the Provost Marshal General: Brigadier General M.R.Patrick (85/1,214)). I assume the second number is men present? What is the first?

The first number is officers present for duty, the second is men present for duty. So Patrick’s Provost Brigade had 85 officers and 1,214 men present for duty.
