Albert N. Raiford of the 9th Virginia was profiled on August 11, 2011 by the Petersburg Progress-Index. Raiford was wounded in a skirmish along Hatcher’s Run on April 1, 1865, and the 9th Virginia was decimated at Five Forks the next day.
