I was pleasantly surprised to find that John Horn, author of The Petersburg Campaign: June 1864-April 1865, The Siege of Petersburg: The Battles for the Weldon Railroad, August 1864, and The Petersburg Campaign: The Destruction of The Weldon Railroad: Deep Bottom, Globe Tavern, and Reams Station: August 14-25, 1864, has started a new web site on the Siege of Petersburg to discuss the topic. Titled The Petersburg Campaign: Observations on the Siege of Petersburg, Virginia, 1864-1865, the site already contains some interesting observations, including:
