The Siege of Petersburg Online

A Richmond-Petersburg Campaign Site

Deeds of Valor, Volume 1

Deeds of Valor was a two volume series published in the early 20th Century, prior to World War 1, which aimed to collect and share the stories by which American soldiers won their Medals of Honor. Volume 1 of the two volume set focuses exclusively on the Union Army during the Civil War, and contains many examples of Medal of Honor winners performing valorous deeds at the Siege of Petersburg.
