Note: A “detachment” of the 160th New York (Cos. A, B, C, D, and G) was present at the Siege of Petersburg for a brief time at Bermuda Hundred and Deep Bottom in July 1864.

  • Commander: Colonel Charles C. Dwight (July 4, 1864)(but was Dwight with the detachment at Bermuda Hundred in late July? It seems equally possible since each detachment contained five companies.  More research is needed.)11

  • Note: A detachment of this unit (Cos. A, B, C, D, G) arrived at Bermuda Hundred on July 20, 1864 and participated in some of the fighting at Deep Bottom during the First Deep Bottom Campaign, at least on July 25-26, 1864. The unit probably left Bermuda Hundred on July 28 with the rest of the brigade.12,13,14
