2nd Company Minnesota Sharpshooters

Note: The 2nd Company Minnesota Sharpshooters was nominally attached to the 1st Minnesota, but appears to have served as the Provost Guard for the Second Division, Second Corps, Army of the Potomac for a good portion of the Siege of Petersburg.

Muster In: Organized at St. Paul, Minn., November 23, 1861, to March 17, 1862, and mustered in March 20, 1862.1
Muster Out: Mustered out March 19, 1865. Veterans transferred to 1st Minnesota Battalion Infantry.2
