Skirmish near Rectortown, VA, as Maj. Gen. Philip H. Sheridan, USA, moves into a strong position near Cedar Creek, along the Valley Pike, the Shenandoah Valley, and awaits the oncoming forces under Lieut. Gen. Jubal Early, CSA.
