NP: July 14, 1864 Brockport (NY) Republic: Lt. Col. Pond Wounded, 2nd US Colored Cavalry

Lieut. Col. N. P. Pond, of the 2d U. S. Colored Cavalry, was wounded in the calf of one of his legs on the 12th instant.  He is now in the Chesapeake Hospital at Fortress Monroe.  His wound is not considered dangerous.1
