150 Years Ago Today at Petersburg: February 18, 1865

February 18, 1865

Robert E. Lee suspends all leaves of absences in the Army of Northern Virginia for those wishing to travel further south than North Carolina.

Warren again has a detail of 1,000 men working on Fifth Corps defenses near Hatcher’s Run.
