    Brian,

Looking over the Petersburg National Battlefield’s page for Virginia units which served at the Siege of Petersburg, it looks like your ancestor’s unit served in the following engagements:

Petersburg Horse (Graham’s) (Chew’s Battalion), Chew, Cavalry
June 9, 1864 – Battle of the Old Men and Young Boys
    June 15-18, 1864
    August 18, 1864 – Weldon Railroad
    September 30, 1864 – Peebles Farm

If you are looking to learn more about the unit at Petersburg, I would recommend purchasing the following volume from the H.E. Howard regimental series of books: Graham’s Petersburg, Jackson’s Kanawha, and Lurty’s Roanoke Horse Artillery.
