September 18, 1864

The affair near Martinsburg, WV, as Lieut. Gen. Jubal Early, CSA, moves from the vicinity of Winchester, VA, against the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, near Martinsburg, WV, with a force of 12,000 against Maj. Gen. Philip H. Sheridan’s force, USA, of 40,000.
