March 27, 1865

President Abraham Lincoln meets with Lieut. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, Maj. Gen. Willliam T. Sherman, and Admiral David Porter, USN, at City Point, VA, aboard the River Queen, to discuss his policy on Confederate surrender and reconstruction.
