July 17, 1864

Skirmish at Herring Creek, near Harrison’s Landing, VA, the Richmond, VA Campaign, which is near the vicinity that Maj. Gen. George McClellan, USA, retreated to after his defeat at the gates of Richmond, VA, during his Peninsula Campaign in 1862.
