TELEGRAPHIC  REPORTS OF THE PRESS ASSOCIATION.

___________________

FROM GENERAL LEE’S ARMY.

Army of Northern Virginia, June 13  5. P.M.—Grant has again changed his base.  He began moving to our right about dark last night [June 12, 1864], and began crossing at Long Bridge about twenty miles below Richmond, to the Southside of the Chickahominy this morning.

Our cavalry fought the enemy’s advance near Riddle’s shop,—about fifteen miles below here this morning [June 13, 1864].  Our forces, owing to the difference in numbers of the enemy, were compelled to fall back.

The enemy were landing supplies and reinforcements below Malvern Hill last night.

There has been no general engagement to-day—Our troops are moving to thwart Grant.

About one hundred and fifty prisoners, captured to-day in the enemy’s abandoned breastworks, have been brought in.1
