150 Years Ago Today at Petersburg: January 12, 1865

January 12, 1865

Maj. Gen. John G. Parke, USA, resumes command of the 9th US Army Corps, the Richmond, VA, Campaign.

Brigadier General Seth Williams, formerly Assistant Adjutant General of the Army of the Potomac, is assigned as acting inspector of the Union armies facing Richmond and Petersburg.
