150 Years Ago Today at Petersburg: November 16, 1864

November 16, 1864

Skirmish near Lee’s Mill, the Richmond, VA, Campaign.

The colors of Second Corps regiments the 36th Wisconsin, 8th New York Heavy Artillery, and 164th New York are returned, the Richmond, VA, Campaign. These colors had been stripped after poor showings at the Second Battle of Ream’s Station, and were returned after better performance in subsequent battles.
