I have purchased the book “Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death” and have read and studied it all. My great – great grandmother Violet Wallace was a first cousin of Harvey A. Wallace. There is a great deal of information about the Wallace and McCallum families in this book. Mr. Skelton mentioned that he had received much of his information from Ruby Lee Beal Stevens, who he said was the great grand daughter of Harvey A. Wallace. I would like to know if Mr. Skelton could provide me a way to contact her by mail or email. I have provided my email above.

      Mr. McCallum,

Thank you for your comment and your description of what is included in this book. I do want to point out that my site is about the Siege of Petersburg, and this specific page is a “bibliography post” alerting students of the Siege of Petersburg to books with possible information on the Siege. I do not know the author or how to put you in touch directly with the author. I will however leave your comment here in case the author ever happens by this page and wants to get in touch with you.
