Day’s history of the 19th. is a favourite of mine. Slightly unusually for an Army of the Potomac regimental history, it’s loaded towards the last year of the war. which is always interesting.

Thanks for that note! I have hundreds and hundreds of these unit histories to add, and your comment is another reminder that I need to get to that. I want to create a permanent page for every unit history which has good coverage of the Siege of Petersburg. I’m going through a regimental history of the 85th Pennsylvania now written in 1915, for instance. I’ve chosen to only add them after I’ve read them, which in retrospect seems kind of silly. I just need to “skim” them for Petersburg content and add the very best ones soon.
